PEDIGREE HIGHLIGHTS
• Zhivago is a flashy 5 year old (in 2009) KWPN registered Dutch Warmblood gelding with beautiful chestnut and white markings. His sire is Indoctro, the highly respected 16.3H KWPN Keur stallion who is by the famous Holsteiner stallion Capitol. Capitol is by a long line of other very well known Holsteiner jumping stallions including Caletto II and Calypso I. This sire line has produced many top international jumpers such as: Classic Touch, Carthago and Caretino.
• On the dam side, Zhivago is out of a proven KWPN Keur mare whose sire was Beaujolais, the talented jumping sire who is by the very famous thoroughbred stallion Lucky Boy. Beaujolais’ children and grandchildren include the famous dressage champion Krack-C and Grand Cru. Zhivago’s granddam sire was Silvano who was the dam sire of the internationally respected Heartbreaker. Silvano’s sire Le Mexico was the sire of the recently deceased dressage legend Ulft.
• Zhivago has a strong athletic presence. He is leggy, has powerful shoulders and a very correct and elegant composition. His temperament is mild and his gaits are fancy and expressive. Zhivago was awarded First Premium and was tied nationally for 6th place in the NAWPN Foalbook at the 2004 Dutch Keuring (inspection).
• Zhivago began professional training in April 2006 and has remained in continuous training ever since. As of November 2008, Zhivago continues to compete at various AA shows and has won several blue ribbons at Raleigh, North Carolina and Lexington Virginia. At the RMI Benefit show at Raleigh in November he jumped Level 4 (3’9”) for the first time, finishing double clear and 4th in a field of 30 horses that were considerably older and more experienced. In early 2009 Zhivago will be going to Aiken, SC and possibly Jacksonville, FL. and will be competing in YJC events.
